Tips for extending the life of your tires
In general tires last between 20,000 and 90,000 km. How long they last and how much mileage they get depends on a number of factors: their design, driving style, type of vehicle, climate, road conditions and the care taken with the tires.
It is difficult to prevent tire wear, but here you can read some tips to prevent your tires from wearing out faster than normal.
1. Check tire pressure regularly.
Proper tire pressure is essential because it will decrease your vehicle's fuel consumption and extend their life. Check your tire pressure before you drive and inflate your tires to the pressures indicated on the vehicle manufacturer's label.
2. Balance your wheels
It is important to balance your wheels every 15,000 km. If you notice any strange vibrations while driving, contact your Suzuki dealer to balance the wheels.
3. Check the wheel alignment.
An alignment problem in the suspension can often be noticed by indirect signs such as a strange noise while driving or poor handling of the vehicle. If you notice these signs, consult your Suzuki dealer.
4. Adjust your driving style
Avoid making sharp turns, braking hard and accelerating hard. Smooth driving, acceleration and braking will help prevent tire wear.
5. Change your tires
As you know, not all tires wear out at the same rate. That's why it's best to rotate them every 5,000 miles to extend the life of your tires.
